OpenG2P, a digital public good co-founded by the Government of Sierra Leone, Mifos, and open source volunteers, and catalyzed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has announced its collaboration with Modular Open Source Identity Platform (MOSIP).

While digital technologies are essential parts of our lives and are providing solutions to some of the world’s greatest challenges, we must urgently recognise their downsides. This is particularly true when it comes to online information pollution, which has grown to be a major cause of distrust and obfuscation, blurring the lines between malicious intent, opinions, and reality.

Today, the Digital Public Goods Alliance is pleased to share our 2021 Annual Report. This report was written with contributions from over 20 organisations working in the digital public goods ecosystem, and showcases not just the work of the DPGA, but their work as well.

The DPGA is excited to work with the eGov Foundation on their DPG work including DIGIT, DISHHA, iFIX, DIVOC, and more over the coming year.

The Digital Public Goods Alliance has, over the past year, worked closely with Omidyar Network. Their leadership, particularly in the areas of digital public infrastructure, is part of the reason we’re thrilled to announce them today as a member of the Digital Public Goods Alliance.

Today, we are celebrating three new DPGs derived from that program, and the first cohort of DPGs from West Africa.
