Advancing and evangelising Digital Public Goods first approach within the UN

Planning

FAO will continue mainstreaming a DPG-First framework. DPG-First simply means that when investing in, creating and/or utilizing digital technologies in the digitalization  and transformation of agrifood systems, digital public goods products, principles and/or practices should be considered and prioritized over non-standard approaches. DPG-First provides a practical roadmap to succeed with the adoption of digital technologies in the agricultural sector. Moreover, it’s a call to action, both internally and in the agrifood ecosystem, to transform agrifood systems through the creation and utilization of open, safe, inclusive and scalable digital public goods.
