Develop DPGs and transform softwares in alignment with the DPG standard

Implementation

In Bangladesh's ongoing effort to advance digital public goods (DPGs), we are focused on both developing new software and transforming existing ones to meet DPG standards. Currently, we have successfully established four DPGs: Grievance Redress System (GRS), Doptor, NISE 3 skills and certification, and Ekshop. These platforms are already making significant impacts in their respective domains. Moreover, we are working on enhancing our existing DPGs Additionally, we have several other DPG initiatives in the pipeline aimed at further enhancing our digital infrastructure. Also we are collaborating with C4GT to enhance our existing products so that we can register them as DPGs.

Advocate for DPGs and facilitate collaboration through South South network

Implementation

The South-South Network for Public Service Innovation (SSN4PSI) was proposed in 2016 by the Honourable Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the UNDP Administrator. SSN4PSI serves as a collaborative platform where governments, private sector organizations, experts, and academics exchange knowledge, experiences, and expertise on public service innovation. Reflecting the unique value of digital public goods (DPGs), the South-South model emphasizes local adaptability, making it better suited to address country-specific and regional needs than proprietary technologies. Currently, SSN4PSI has 45 members and has conducted 20 matchmaking workshops to highlight best practices. Bangladesh will leverage this platform to advocate for DPGs to its member countries.
