Develop DPI Based Foundational Skill Set
This activity will explore the shared services and functions that can be provided by Digital Public Goods (DPGs). The focus will be on defining the required skill sets and understanding the architectural models to address sectoral and domain-specific functions. The aim is to design centrally shared public digital services with defined APIs for interoperability and sustainability. Focus on: - Approaches to create the localized knowledge and skills (through capacity building efforts) around key DPGs leveraging all possible resources abroad on the below five major building blocks - Identification and credentialing platforms -MOSIP - DataSharing - DigiLocker, X-ROAD - Payments: Mifos (Mifos-X), Mojaloop, Fineract - Trust Infrastructure (Sunbird RC, tools for eConcent, eSign,...) - Discovery and Fulfilment (Extensible interoperability protocols)

Implementing National ID to enhance service delivery using MOSIP
Led by the Prime Minister’s office, National ID Program in Ethiopia (NIDP), aims to provide foundational digital IDs (Fayda ID) to residents of the country tackling the lack of a comprehensive identification system in Ethiopia by enrolling residents and giving them unique identification for accessing various services, including financial, social, and public services.

Apply OpenG2P Based Service for social benefit services
Various social protection programs, including the Ethiopia Disaster Risk Management Commission (EDRMC), Productive Safety Net Program (PSNP), Refugee and Returnee Services (RRS), and the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs, as well as other humanitarian agencies, provide aid and benefits to the poor and marginalized population. This activity will build upon the work done in the previous activities (Activity 1 and 2) and put the resulting solution into practice including integration of the Fayda ID system with the OpenG2P platform. OpenG2P provides the required building blocks for effective scheme management and G2P ecosystem delivery. This integration effort is part of a long-term plan to support and progressively maintain a working system. Critical capacity building work will be done for both the technical and operational roles, and the activity will be aligned with the DPI sandbox activity 2.
Build a DPI Sandbox
This activity will promote the use and development of DPGs in Ethiopia, focusing on a major public sector use case - G2P service delivery. The activity will explore, integrate, and deploy multiple DPGs within the sandbox to support end-to-end G2P activities, such as social benefits and digital payments, incorporating customizations to reflect the local context.
