Economy, Planning and Development Sector Data Architecture design.

Planning

This activity focuses on designing the data architecture necessary to manage EPD sector information efficiently and securely at the national level. This involves analyzing the requirements, developing a detailed plan that includes components such as information sources and databases, defining standards for the structuring of information, such as GIS for geospatial data and SDMX for statistical data, security measures based on ISO/ IEC 27001, interoperability based on OpenAPI specifications, establish policies and procedures for its management and, finally, implement. this architecture as planned.  There is no link available yet, since this project is still under formulation. But it will be live at data.economia.gob.do.

Leverage DPGs for National Data Infrastructure

Planning

EPDS-Data Infrastructure Develop a DPG-Based Platform for National Development Planning. The project focuses on the creation of a data exchange hub for social, economic, geospatial, and demographic data generated by the ministry and dependent agencies, to improve efficiency, transparency and evidence-based decision and policy making across several government agencies for the advancement of national development and sustainable development goals (SDGs).  This project is proposed as the implementation and customization of several Digital Public Goods (DPGs) that will integrate and consolidate data generated from different sources across the Administration, using cutting-edge technologies and platforms for secure data management, which includes its registry, collection, structuring, publication, reuse, and its exchange. The benefits of this project include centralized access to data for better decision planning and policymaking, transparency, interoperability and fostering public and civi

Creating Sharable Data Structure for the Economy, Planning & Development Sector

Planning

This activity involves designing and developing a solid and coherent data structure that allows for the efficient organization and classification of information related to the planning and development sector and for 90% of datasets to be made available as DPGs. This activity includes:    Data Structure Design: A data structure will be defined that follows open standards and includes categories, attributes and relationships between the different data sets relevant to the sector. This will ensure the consistency and integrity of the stored information and the ability to share the open  datasets as DPGs.    Data Model Development: Conceptual and logical data models will be created that represent the designed data structure, using industry-recognized standards to ensure interoperability and scalability.
