The DPG Community Manager Training program is designed to connect Community Managers interested in making a difference with digital public goods (DPGs) that need support in effectively engaging external contributors. The goal is twofold: to create more opportunities for developers interested in working on open source for good and to unlock resources for DPGs that will allow them to maximize their impact as they tackle critical global challenges. The objective is to create, grow, and maintain external contributor communities is critical to the long-term sustainability of DPGs.

For Good First Issue - DPG contribution campaign and platform
For Good First Issue is a platform for developers to discover, explore, and contribute to DPGs. Helping them build a vibrant community around their solution. It includes a curated list of open source projects recognized as digital public goods (DPGs) that list open issues on GitHub for technical and non technical contributions. Alongside this, regular virtual public events for DPGs to share their more recent challenges and a call to action for open source developers to find an issue and work on them. These events will showcase DPGs and highlight what help they need from the open source community, culminating in the yearly Hacktoberfest event, a month-long contribution campaign.
