Installation of the Regional Innovation hubs
In order to foster homegrown digital solutions and increase the employment of the youths in Uganda, the country has moved to install regional innovation hubs as public infrastructure that provides access to innovators within the community to space, internet and necessary innovation tools. Within these same facilities, the innovators are also offered training and mentorship and networking opportunities with partners and government. Additionally, government through the Ministry of ICT &NG usually offers grants to innovators that have solutions to government challenges and normally purchase these solutions and take them to the market.
