Today, the Digital Public Goods Alliance welcomes Thoughtworks as a new member. We are particularly excited about this membership both because of Thoughtworks’ leadership in advocating for, and creating, open-source software, but also their commitment to digital public goods.

Today, the Digital Public Goods Alliance is pleased to share our 2021 Annual Report. This report was written with contributions from over 20 organisations working in the digital public goods ecosystem, and showcases not just the work of the DPGA, but their work as well.
The DPGA is excited to work with the eGov Foundation on their DPG work including DIGIT, DISHHA, iFIX, DIVOC, and more over the coming year.
The Digital Public Goods Alliance has, over the past year, worked closely with Omidyar Network. Their leadership, particularly in the areas of digital public infrastructure, is part of the reason we’re thrilled to announce them today as a member of the Digital Public Goods Alliance.
Today, we are celebrating three new DPGs derived from that program, and the first cohort of DPGs from West Africa.
We are thrilled to welcome UN Global Pulse as the newest member of the Digital Public Goods Alliance. UN Global Pulse’s lab in Finland will be coordinating with the DPGA to explore and better understand what digital public goods exist, and how they can contribute to improving maternal and newborn health.
The Digital Public Goods Alliance co-hosted and participated in high level events during the United Nations General Assembly emphasizing open source and the relevance of DPGs for building open culture and open societies in the UN and around the world. Read the takeaways from these events here.
